ACI eManifest Webinar: Prepare for Reporting Requirements Deadline

The deadline for compliance with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)’s eManifest Requirements for Freight Forwarders is around the corner! As of November 7, 2016, CBSA will require the advance electronic transmission of house bill of lading data by freight forwarders for cargo entering Canada. CBSA will offer a 60-day transition period during which penalties for non-compliance will not be issued.

We are pleased to announce that SGS China and CargoSmart signed an alliance agreement on September 27, 2016 to provide solutions for shippers to meet the new Safety of Life at Sea Convention’s Verified Gross Mass (SOLAS VGM) container weight requirements. The alliance allows shippers to use trusted solutions from both companies to follow standard and efficient weighing procedures and to collect and submit the required information to ocean carriers in a timely manner to comply with VGM requirements. The signing ceremony was held in Hong Kong.
